Belated Bday Post

Soo I mean to put up these pictures last week after my birthday but I’ve been busy with moving. I must say this was an epic bday weekend! I spent the whole weekend in my favorite city in the whole world NY, and I loved every moment of it. The most important part of the trip was being able to experience New York with my closest friends. We even went as far as sewing Aso Ebi together. Nigerians do the most and I am guilty of it! Whatevs, that’s my nature. If you are in the ATL area and would like designs like these made for you, contact my seamstress at Nikky Fashions: she is fantastic. 6787895044. I also ate at 3 African restaurants in NY that I highly recommend. Queen of Sheeba(Ethiopian), Madiba(South African), and Buka(Nigerian).

Lace Bottoms

Lets just say I didn't buy these shorts from the clothing section... Nope! They're definitely from the intimate/nightwear section! That is all. I can't bare anymore shame! hahaha

Everything I'm wearing is thrifted! From my earrings to my shoes!

When In Doubt... Thrift!

My best friend is an NYU Graduate!! Yes mam! She is well on her way to greatness! This is what I wore to her graduation party and of course I must thank the mother of all thrift stores, Goodwill, for the completion of this outfit! I was having trouble throughout the day finding something appropriate for her party. When I left my apartment I forgot to pack the dress I intended on wearing for her event. After visiting several stores, I gave in and drove to the closest Goodwill where I found this skirt! It's funny how matched the only necklace I brought! And the bustier bra was the only other garment I had in my bag. I mean everything just worked out perfectly!

Love is in the air

Ya love is in the air... For the singles who choose to ignore the fact that it is valentines day, remember that love is not always about romance. We sometimes feel romantic love is the strongest, but I think otherwise. I am not discrediting it, but just reminding those who feel lonely during that this is a day for us all to celebrate. And besides, romantic love is sometimes temporary, so why not appreciate the love that will never fail. Look at all the love around you daily. God's love for one! He has blessed you with the ability to read and furthermore, provide you with a computer or mobile device to read this post. How about the love of friends and family who will never give up on you despite your failures. Instead of acting bitter or indifferent on this day, use it as an opportunity to appreciate the love around you.
Thanks Tobi for the pics.. Check out his cool blog

So I went to New Orleans this weekend, or NOLA, as my abbreviation obsessed generation calls it. First off, If you're going to visit the city, plan the trip one month ahead of time; the amount of different activities could become overwhelming. Also, have lots of cash! I say cash because I didn't see any banks around and their ATM's cost $3.99 per withdraw. But despite the disorganization and desolation of my bank account I enjoyed the city, but not in the way many tourists would. Bourbon street was alright and so was the mardi gras parade (no I did partake in the boob display). I enjoyed the art and jazz of New Orleans the most! As I grow older, I realize I am deviating from the "college-girl" image. Am I becoming sophisticated? Hmm.. Anyways here are some snaps. And of course what I wore

Was excited to see Jeremy Davenport Live at the Ritz Carlton
