Don't Spend Your Youth Growing Up

Looking at my past, I realize I've had to grow up a lot quicker than my peers; living in a single parent home will do that to you. I don't regret the pace of my maturity at all, but I do miss those days when I had all sense of security, no real reason to worry, and less major decisions to make. This was the inspiration for this outfit here. Bows are something I adore hence the headband and the ring I accidentally took from my boss: I know she's gonna kill me! I buttoned my collar all the way up b/c that's how my mom used to dress me up when I was younger.. haha. I found these sneakers at the thrift a few days ago and I just can't seem to leave them alone. Watcha think?

Hey Where'd You Get That Blazer?

I had a very super day at the thrift store on saturday, which is where I found this boy's black blazer for $1.. Prices like this don't really shock me anymore b/c I find stuff for this cheap ALL THE TIME. Since I have 4 different black blazers already, I decided to add some pizazz to this one.
Estimated Time 2hrs.

Tools: Studs, Scarf, Scissors, Needle and Thread, Super Glue, Patience and Time

 An old scarf of mine for one side of the flap and a studs from a studded shirt I never wear for the other side.

 Sewed on part of the scarf to one flap of the blazer using my INCREDIBLE sewing abilities (sarcasm).

Took off the studs from that old shirt and glued them to the other flap of the blazer.. Voila!

Used the rest of scarf as a head band.. Ya dig? If you come up with styles of your own, don't hesitate to post them on the blogs facebook page. Muah loves!

Life's better with blue socks!

Well.. This outfit came straight out of my trunk literally! I had an event to attend Downtown Atlanta the day before which didn't end till about 12 am. I had to be back at work by 11 so I just went ahead and stayed with my BF downtown. Well thankfully I went to the thrift earlier and found this romper. I had the blue socks and shoes in my trunk and I just improvised. I'm satisfied with the final product! HA!!

Cherish the Day

This is probably one of the most random photo shoots I've done EVER! I was going out to eat brunch and I just started throwing on clothes and afterwards I decided to take pics hahaha. My mom got me this tunic a while ago and for some reason, I just never wore it. The hat is my favorite part of the outfit, especially b/c someone called me a Jew!!

Part Two "Future"of my photo shoot with Jerrian. Its always interesting to think of how the styles in the future will be, so since I can't predict it, I went ahead and chose the color black. I added gold and silver accessories to add that flashy futuristic feel to the outfit. I found some chains and I just wanted to have fun with them (no symbolism there) hahaha. Hope you like!

My first duo with a guy.. Jerrian to be Specific...LOVE IT!! This is part one of the two part photo shoot we had together. The concept of the shoot was "Back to thuuuh... Future". Basically this is the "Back" (past) and tomorrow I will post the "Future." Check out how SWEET our shoes are!! Now this photo shoot was done back in November I believe but for some reason I'm just now putting them on the blog. Hmm I wonder why KC Smith? hahaha?
